My husband and I recently purchased a new home and have slowly been making progress on furnishing and decorating our new space. We now have 4 bedrooms which makes it possible to finally have a room strictly dedicated to being a guest room for family and friends to visit. With the farmhouse vibe taking over my home, I was looking for some light and bright furniture to keep with the theme. Being its a room that isn't utilized very often, spending the money on a brand new bedroom set was out of the question. I had browsed consignment shops and sent my mom on the yard sale search but nothing was doing it for me. My in-laws offered an old Ethan Allen bedroom set to us and lets just say it was horrible but heavy duty and had potential.
I removed the top piece of the night stand which was basically concerted on the back of this thing. The dresser was fine as is.
With a little white paint and help from Luke we had our farmhouse furniture. No sanding, just cleaned it really well and painted right over the wood.
I am thrilled with how they turned out. They're perfect and were free. We spent maybe a total of $10 on a new paint brush and the paint. Not to bad! Considering some new knobs but still not sure. Updates on finishing up the guest rooms decor to come!
